WHAT TYPES OF SKINCARE CONCERNS DOES LASER TREAT?
Both our ND:YAg (Signature Laser) and LaseMD (Fractional Laser) have their own benefits:
- Signature is best for those who are looking for an all-round deep cleanse, want to boost collagen and improve pigmentation
- Fractional is more advanced and suited to those who are looking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture and minimize hyperpigmentation.
In general lasers are focused on pores, wrinkles, texture, tone and tightening the skin. They can provide great results for those who are looking to prevent, correct and maintain their skin.
WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE A LASER FACIAL? 
Our lasers are suitable for all skin types and tones but there are contraindications which could prevent you from having a laser facial:
For example, if you have recently had Botox or fillers then you would need to wait 2 weeks before coming in for a facial as the heat of our lasers can potentially cause fillers to dissolve. If you have open wounds where the skin is broken or inflamed such as a cold sore, then we advise to come back when it is resolved, and the skin barrier is intact. If you are using treatments such as Glycolic Acid, Retinol or actively sun tanning, we would recommend stopping ideally a week prior as it can leave your skin sensitive and prone to irritation.
The Signature & Fractional can be combined and just like we have seasons, our skin also undergoes many changes which can be affected by a number of lifestyle factors such as diet, stress and hormonal changes.
Although home-maintenance is key, lasers can help optimize and enhance the appearance of your skin.
