WHAT TO EXPECT
- Before your first appointment, you and your Skin Laundry therapist will discuss your skin concerns, the treatment, its benefits, and your skin goals.
- We’ll take a photo (which will remain private) to help track your skin journey at Skin Laundry.
- After a cleanse, your Skin Laundry therapist will begin the Laser treatment followed by an application of our medical grade serums. Post treatment aftercare will be provided.
AFTERCARE
- Cleanse and hydrate gently: Use a mild, non-active cleanser and a soothing, hydrating moisturiser for at least 48 hours post-treatment to support the skin’s healing process.
- No makeup for 24 hours: Allow your skin time to recover by avoiding any makeup application for the first 24 hours. This helps prevent irritation and clogged pores while the skin is still sensitive.
- Daily SPF 50 protection: Begin applying a broad-spectrum SPF 50 the morning after your treatment and continue daily. This protects your healing skin from UV damage and prevents pigmentation.
- Avoid heat and sweat: Refrain from gym workouts, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 48 hours, as excess heat and sweat can irritate freshly treated skin and delay healing.
- Let skin flake naturally: If peeling or flaking occurs, do not pick or exfoliate. Let the skin shed naturally to avoid damaging the fresh skin underneath or causing hyperpigmentation.
- Pause active skincare: Avoid using retinoids, exfoliating acids, vitamin C serums, or any other active skincare ingredients for 3–5 days post-treatment. Focus on hydration and barrier repair instead.

Afterwards, your Skin Laundry Registered Nurse or Laser Specialist will assess your skin’s response to your first Skin Laundry facial, review your skin concerns and design a customized treatment plan to help you achieve your skin goals going forward.
